What the gurus are saying

The serum earns consistent praise for leaving skin visibly hydrated, plump and glowy without heaviness, and it plays well alongside active treatments like retinoids and vitamin C without irritation. Gurus note the lightweight, watery texture feels hydrating without disappearing, and highlight that PDRN at this strength offers topical benefits though it is not the same as clinical PDRN treatments. Those layering it with actives report minimal peeling and a calm, supported barrier.

"The Anua serums, the red and peach ones, are so popular online, though you actually can't buy them in Korea because of the law, I even buy mine from overseas. I'd say they're okay, you can try them once, but they're not a product I really, really recommend. The PDRN percentage is really low, more like a hyaluronic acid serum, and while people expect PDRN to be anti-aging and lifting, this one is very lightweight, more for everyday use in oily combo tropical weather."

I Tested 10 NEW Viral K-Beauty Products — Which Ones Are ACTUALLY Worth It?
"This one is great for traveling, a little lighter, though it's a bit fishy and artificial smelling since it's from salmon. In Korea's summer humidity of 40 to 50 percent I like this one better, it's not watery but lighter than the bottle serum. If you're oily combo skin and it's summer, this one is pretty good and still gets your skin hydrated, it goes in more quickly and feels more lightweight."
TOP 10 Korean Skincare Brands | Global #1 VS Korea #1 - WHICH IS BETTER?
"This PDRN serum contains hyaluronic acid, collagen and glutathione, but comparing it to other PDRN serums, Anua has the least amount of PDRN, only about 100 ppm, while others have three to four thousand. The texture is slightly oily and tacky, so oily or combo skin should only use it at night, while dry skin can use it daily. If you expect lifting, it doesn't really do that, it's more just a hydrating serum. It's too light for dry, mature skin over 40, and a bit thick for oily skin. Overall this Anua product is not my favorite, but it's nothing amazing and nothing bad, which is probably why it became a bestseller, and if you're in your 20s or 30s you could try it casually."
What You Should Know Before You Buy Viral Korean Skincare Products!
"This contains 100 PPM of PDRN, which is one hundredth of what's in Medicube. At this level, claiming it contains PDRN is more of a marketing strategy, it's essentially just a hyaluronic acid serum. It's the most lightweight of the five serums, better for oily and combo skin. It's okay, but I don't want to repurchase it, because we have so many options when it comes to hyaluronic acid serum."

"The Anua PDRN plus hyaluronic acid serum is awesome, especially for dry skin. That one leaves your skin like very glowy and hydrated looking and it's a really nice, very good quality, high quality PDRN sourced serum that I definitely recommend."

"Anua has a PDRN serum which I reviewed last year. It uses very little PDRN, it uses salmon DNA, but the PDRN concentration is extremely low, I believe it is less than 0.1%. But it is very high on hyaluronic acid. The Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum is something that I will highly recommend to people who have oily, acne prone skin, they just want to get a burst of hydration. It is a good product. But again, for anti-aging, I don't think it's going to work. When it comes to anti-aging, you need concentrations minimum 0.5%, you need salmon DNA and you need a good cream to go with it. So Anua is in the thing of normal to oily skin."

"Cinnamon PDRN that helps to support skin rejuvenation, promote skin turnover, helps with elasticity, fine lines and wrinkles. And then hydrolyzed collagen along with 11 different types of hyaluronic acid that works to hydrate your skin, keeping your skin plump and hydrated, supporting the skin barriers, improving skin health that again is really important for kind of aging skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I really love this. [...] I use it in the morning on top of my vitamin C serum and at night before my topical retinoid. [...] It's a great one because it's not irritating. You can easily incorporate it into your existing routine and if you're worried about retinoids, this may interfere with your retinoids, it will not. So this is the beauty of this product, which is why I love it so much."

"It does leave this kind of slip on your skin that honestly I don't mind at all. It's not oily or thick or anything. It's just like a nice kind of feel, it feels like it's locking everything in. We also have glutathione in here which is a brightening antioxidant as well as turmeric eggplant extract and basil, holy basil or something which apparently calms the skin. All I know is that this is one of my favorite hydrating products. I've been using this purely after a toner before a treatment serum just to give my skin that extra hydration and I love it. It's got that stringiness and it feels thick but light at the same time, and I feel like this gives me the satisfaction of that quench that I'm always looking for."

SALMON SPERM IN SKINCARE?! Why Everyone's Obsessed With PDRN
"I layer this up like, so I'll do one layer all over and then I'll drip it just a little bit extra where I'm super dry or where I feel a little bit more dehydrated, maybe where I have more skin texture, on the cheeks and this little area of my forehead. I wake up and my skin just feels hydrated, calm and a little bit more plumper than usual. What I like about this serum as well is just how well it plays with other actives. Whether you're using retinoids, exfoliants, vitamin C, this will just slot happily into your routine, keeping your barrier happy alongside that. I've been using this for about three weeks now and really enjoying it. I do layer it into my tret routine, and I've had minimal, minimal, minimal peeling with no dryness. If you've been curious about PDRN but didn't want to commit to a clinic appointment or injectable treatment, this is a nice place to start. Is it the same thing? No, it's not. But it still has amazing topical benefits. Anua's PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum gives you barrier care, hydration, and regeneration as well."

"The Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum is a new favorite of mine, [...] a really nice wake-up and boost for my skin. It's super lightweight, watery and hydrating, and my skin just drinks it up without it disappearing on the skin. It has PDRN and hyaluronic acid, and that combination with collagen makes everything smoother, bouncier and more plump. It's a really solid everyday twice-a-day serum."
