What the gurus are saying

This lightweight, refreshing milky toner delivers the hydration of viral competitors but with a noticeably more comfortable feel on skin, plus strong barrier support via ceramides, centella asiatica, and polyglutamic acid. Multiple reviewers praised the value at around £12, though others tempered expectations, solid, but not exceptional. Best for layering or preferring a lighter texture for warmer weather.

"In second place, we have the BYOMA Milky Toner. This is viral over on other apps right now. People are drenching their skin in it and loving it. And honestly, it's a great product. This is what I call a classic Milky Toner, none of the extras around exfoliation or smoothing out, focused just down on hydration. And honestly, nothing wrong with that at all. Sometimes we just need a simple product that's going to deliver what it says and that's enough for us. This is not too expensive. BYOMA isn't the cheapest brand out there, but it's also not too expensive. Packed full of ceramides, barrier boosting ingredients, and will really help to hydrate, plump, and nourish the skin. Total game changer when it comes to hydration, and sometimes simple is effective. If you have somebody that's looking to get into skincare, maybe there's a teen in your life that's wanted to experiment with a Milky Toner cuz they've seen it online, I would say this is probably the product I would recommend. Really simplistic, it's not going to damage your skin, there's no risk of overusing it or overdoing it. Very easy to use, and I think it's eye-catching and a great price point. So many benefits, I absolutely love it."

"This works well, this is good, this does what it's supposed to do, but it's not like a must-have holy grail. It's a little thinner in texture, which for me personally has made a bit of a difference as far as liking it overall. It's accessible, easy to find in store here in the US, and a variety of retailers sell it, so it's easy to just run out and pick up, whereas others can be a little hard to get."

"Byoma is probably the most popular brand on this app, focused on supporting a healthy skin barrier with effective actives without the irritation. [...] One product I particularly love, that I've talked about to death, is their Hydrating Milky Toner. It's hydrating and moisturizing like all those other viral milky toners, but so much more lightweight, refreshing and hydrating feeling. It's also super soothing and contains all their barrier supporting ingredients."

✨ Ranking Viral Milky Skin Toners – Best to Worst! ✨
"Number eight is BYOMA. This used to be a bit higher on my list until I found some more, but this is a perfect budget friendly hydrating milky toner that is honestly better than most of its more expensive competitors. It contains polyglutamic acid, which is an amazing HA. If you like hyaluronic acid, you're going to love polyglutamic acid, because it's said to be able to hold on to way more water content but also keep it there for longer, and I feel like this is reflected more in the feeling and the look of your skin as well. My skin always just looks way more hydrated and feels more deeply hydrated after using polyglutamic acid, not just this toner but polyglutamic acid in general. And then of course we have the ceramides that BYOMA are famous for, along with centella asiatica, which is nice and soothing. And for 12ish pound I think this is an absolute bargain, as is most of BYOMA's products."

"It's nice and light compared to Rhode's version, so it's a really nice summer, warmer weather kind of toner, and if you like to layer up your skincare, the Bioma one sits a little bit more comfortably on the skin. Bioma in general have amazing products and it's hard to pick a bad one, this hydrating soothing Milky Toner is by far my favorite from their line. It's a perfect budget friendly hydrating Milky Toner that's honestly much better than a lot of its more expensive competitors, it contains polyglutamic acid which in my opinion is a much more superior humectant to hyaluronic acid."

"This is the Hydrating Milky Toner, an incredibly welcomed addition to the Byoma lineup. This feels a little bit more like that Korean essence step, it has a more milky texture, a little bit more body to it, more deeply hydrating and perhaps a little moisturizing. I am not kidding when I say this feels inspired by K beauty, it even contains some centella asiatica extract in addition to a long list of humectants, we even have some oils in this product. The only catch I have with this product, otherwise I love it, is that most of Byoma's products are a liftoff top, it took me a while to figure out it's actually a spin top."

"This feels like a bit more of an accessible Korean milky toner, and I mean that in a good way. It has polyglutamic acid and centella in it, and they say it relieves dryness and supports a healthy skin barrier. The best way to describe it is that I don't find it necessarily to be that exciting, but not every skincare product has to be exciting, sometimes you just want something that's going to be reliable."

"After that, we're going to hydrate with this BYOMA Hydrating Milky Toner. After 40, hydration is the name of the game. Our skin produces less oil as we age, making our skin dry, dry, dry, so your makeup has no way to go, it just sits on top. This BYOMA toner also helps protect the skin barrier with lipids, and it also has cica to help calm the skin."
