What the gurus are saying

This propolis formulation really does the work, delivering hydration and easing chapping while providing a gentle plumping effect and smoother, more supple texture over time. The one drawback is the packaging; even fans of the formula wish it came in a different container. It's worth trying if propolis-based lip care appeals to you, though a few have found alternatives they prefer.

"I used to like the CNP Laboratory Propolis Lip Serum, but this was so hard to finish once I found the Edom lip balm."

"There must be thousands of lip balms on the market and lots of them don't actually do a whole lot. They might give you a bit of temporary relief, but after an hour your lips are just as dry as ever. Very few of them actually solve the underlying cause of dry lips. This is one that does. It has propolis, which is great in terms of boosting the barrier function of the lips and restoring hydration. It's got some great antimicrobial properties too, and it's just a genuinely amazing lip balm. It hydrates the lips and gives a little plumpness to them. It's definitely one of those products you'll only need to apply two or three times a day, not one of those cheap lip balms you have to apply every half an hour to maintain the results. This just delivers. The reason this went viral is because of its applicator. You have to click it up and then some product comes out the top and you can put it on, or you can do it straight from the bullet, though I don't really like doing that because I think it ends up a bit messy. That's why the product went viral, because it's different, something new. But the reason it stood the test of time is because people love the results they got. They tried it for the packaging and fell in love with it and keep buying it time and time again. I paid somewhere in the region of about £8 for this, so it's not super expensive, it doesn't break the bank. Yes, the packaging is different, but I keep buying it because the formulation is genuinely amazing."

"This is the CNP Laboratory Propolis Lip Serum. Now, this is having a bit of a viral moment online because the packaging. You twist it up, you get a little bit of the product out of there and then you can dispense it. If you're somebody that doesn't like to be digging your fingers into a pot, you'll like this packaging. I love the formulation, the propolis really nourishes, reduces any chappness that you have to the lips and helps smooth everything out. It's not super glossy either, this isn't giving that sheen or shine, so it's great for people like me that don't like to have a shiny lip all day. This is very just much just like your good skin day when it comes to the lips and it lasts forever. One of these products that you need to apply in the morning, on an evening, and then maybe once after lunch and that's it. Not one of these lip balms that's so rubbish you have to apply every 30 minutes or it doesn't work. This lasts. I personally love this one. It's viral, but I think it's one of the few occasions where a viral product is actually worth the hype. And so it's nice that in 2025 we can include a lip category in the Korean skincare awards because this is a very worthy winner."

"This is a CNP Laboratory propolis lip serum, and I've mentioned this on the channel before and I've enjoyed it. You twist it up and you get some product out. I did two twists, you should only do one. I love this, I love the product. Do I think you need this sort of overengineered packaging on a lip balm? Absolutely not, but this is a case of I'm not the biggest fan of the packaging but the product is amazing. If you don't like to be touching your lip balms, this is a great idea because you can just get a little bit off and it dispenses. It's got the propolis, which is nourishing for the skin. This is one of those lip balms that lasts all day, so you can use it in the morning, it'll cover you all day long, you won't have to constantly reapply because it's ineffective... this actually works. You get a lot for your money, it wasn't too expensive, and it leaves a bit of a glossy finish. If you're someone that likes a glossy finish to your lip balm, you'll love this. If you want something matte, then this probably isn't going to be for you. In terms of performance, this works really well. I see why this is viral, it's attractive, appealing in the colors, the packaging is new and innovative, and you don't need loads for it to work. I think if you're looking for something innovative in lip care, one that actually works, then this is great. Just be mindful that propolis obviously comes from honey, so it's not vegan. If you are vegan or living a plant-based lifestyle, this one won't be for you."
