What the gurus are saying

This glycolic serum earns praise for being gentler than stronger alternatives, making it a solid entry point for people new to chemical exfoliation, though the gurus note it is not suitable for young skin. The 10% acid blend can help improve texture and support collagen over months of regular use, but patch test first if you are exfoliating for the first time. Where gurus split is on value: some rate it a genuinely good product, while others find the high price difficult to justify when comparable AHA options exist.

Better Than The Drunk Elephant TLC Framboos Resurfacing Glycolic Night Serum - Dupes & Alternatives
"In here are the stars of the show: glycolic acid, lactic acid, tartaric acid, and salicylic acid. It is a 10% blend of those ingredients and the goal of this one is to exfoliate skin, leaving it soft and smooth over time. Glycolic acid is one of the miracle ingredients that can help rebuild collagen in skin as long as you set the proper pH and proper amount, typically 10%. It will help with collagen production and deepen your skin over time. You can't use it for one day and then expect results, it will take months, but over time glycolic acid, like ascorbic acid, helps build collagen deep down in skin. It also helps improve skin texture, pore size, and brighten skin. [...] It's also got some other nice ingredients: raspberry extracts, salicylics, marula oil, and sodium hyaluronate."
Why Skincare Brands & Influencers Market to Kids - Kids Obsessed with Drunk Elephant & Glow Recipe
"This is a Sephora post so kids in skincare purchases when do you refuse I had a 12-year-old girl try to buy the Drunk Elephant glycolic acid serum today this one which is too strong for me to use on a regular basis and she looked at me like I killed her dog because I wouldn't sell it to her thankfully I saw her and got her to remove it"
Best Ingredients to Build an Anti-Aging Skincare Routine - Ingredients to Boost Collagen in Skin
"This one's really expensive. A lot of people like absolutely like this product. I'm trying to finish it up, I've been working on it for quite some time now, but it's still overall a good product. Just for the price though, like, I don't know, it's 120 bucks now? It's ridiculous. If you're looking to add some good anti-aging into your skin, AHAs are a good way to go, and there's so many of them."

"Drunk Elephant TLC Framboos is one of the most talked about exfoliants in Sephora right now, and it's ninety dollars for a one ounce bottle. Glycolic acid sits close to water on the ingredient list so it's probably around seven percent, doing a lot of the heavy lifting, with lactic acid and tartaric acid as supporting AHAs, which tracks with the ten percent AHA total on the label. The salicylic acid is at one percent, not two percent, and that's a deliberate formulation choice, not a shortcut, so you're getting real BHA activity and genuine pore penetration, but at a concentration that's gentler and better tolerated for regular use. This is not a weak formula by any means, I think it's a thoughtfully calibrated formula. The rest of the formula, the horse chestnut extract, raspberry fruit extract, marula seed oil, cross polymer hyaluronic acid, and allantoin, is where it really earns some of its price tag. If you have congestion, blackheads, enlarged pores, or oily skin alongside texture concerns, you need both AHA and BHA working together, and this is an actual AHA and BHA treatment where both things are working. The price tag is real, but the functionality difference is also real, so pay the ninety dollars if that's what your skin needs."

"Drunk Elephant do a good one, their serum is quite nice."

"Their TLC Framboos is a glycolic serum definitely suited for an evening skin care routine for gentle exfoliation. I actually found it a little bit more gentle than the Dermik Sleep serum that I've been using. I highly recommend using this especially if you're a beginner to glycolic. I suspect that the glycolic percentage in this is fairly low, but definitely always patch test if you're using an exfoliating serum for the first time."
