What the gurus are saying

Thiamidol, the collection's key ingredient, works like hydroquinone for melasma and dark spots but is safe for all skin types including sensitive skin and deeper tones, without toxicity concerns. The complete routine (gentle exfoliating cleanser, serum, moisturizer, morning sunscreen, and eye cream) delivers visible results with consistent use, backed by clinical trials. Reviewers emphasize the accessible pricing, noting it's a practical alternative to luxury brands for pigmentation.

"Another category that I really do like are resorcinols. These are powerful, but a little lesser known. One example that I do appreciate, and I think it's been getting a little bit more hype recently, is Thiamidol, which is found in the Eucerin Radiant Tone Collection. [...] Resorcinols help reduce melanin production and can be very effective when used consistently."

Dermatologist Answers Popular TikTok Questions About Skincare (Part 1)
"They of course are great at making products for people with sensitive skin. They just came out with their Radiant Tone collection, which contains their proprietary ingredient, the Amidol or Thodol, and that has been shown to also help lighten dark spots. They have like a cleanser in there in that collection, they have like a serum, a moisturizer, a sunscreen. So I would say either of those lines would be helpful [...] if you have dark spots and you're looking for something to help lighten them, especially if you have sensitive skin."

"There's a newer ingredient called Thiamidol, one of the most potent tyrosinase inhibitors available over the counter, and it's tolerated really well even by deeper skin tones. A 24 week randomized controlled trial showed it was significantly superior to placebo for moderate to severe melasma, and I believe it's also been compared to 4% hydroquinone and found to be superior. Thiamidol is available through Eucerin in their Radiant Tone Collection, which has a moisturizer, a sunscreen, a serum, a cleanser, and I believe an eye cream also. If you want a full routine that really focuses on pigmentation, I do highly recommend the Eucerin Radiant Tone Collection."

Pigmentation Problems — Treating Dark Spots, Melasma & PIH
"I've been recommending the Radiant Tone Collection from Eucerin, which uses an ingredient called thiamidol. It acts along the same pathway as hydroquinone, but you can use it on all skin types, and it hasn't been shown to be toxic to the melanocytes the way hydroquinone is, so you can use it continuously. It comes with a gentle exfoliating cleanser with AHAs, a serum you use morning and night, a morning sunscreen with broad spectrum SPF 30, and a night cream, so they've covered their bases pretty well with that regimen. It's sometimes cheaper to get over the counter and I've seen actually really good results with it. I'm very happy with this line. I've reviewed it on my YouTube channel, and I've seen good results as patients have used it as well."
Best Pigmentation FIX | Dermatologist Reviews Eucerin Radiant Tone Collection
"As with anything from Eucerin, the prices are very reasonable. This is not like Drunk Elephant where you're spending hundreds of dollars on every single product. I'm really glad that Eucerin finally released these into the US market, giving my patients and giving you another option for the treatment of unwanted pigmentation."
