"I tried to like this because I saw so many reviews about it, but it changes to a yellow color way too quickly. I checked the reviews and I'm not the only one seeing that. Other vitamin C serums also turn yellow over time, but at least they use a darker bottle, this one comes in a white bottle so you can't tell how fast it's oxidizing. Whenever I use it my face becomes a little more heated, so I think it can be a bit aggressive. It might react differently for other people, but I'd rather try a smaller, brown bottled option instead."

It seems to have the benefits as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory ingredient, and claimed to be able to boost skin's collagen production, and the best known use for ethyl ascorbic acid is brightening, so it's worth a try. This one does contain grapefruit seed extract, but it has no scent, so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to grapefruit. Typically grapefruit oil is going to be much more irritating than the extract."

"They also came out with a new vitamin C serum, the Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Serum, and this contains vitamin C derivatives. It also has some fragrant extracts in it, but it doesn't have any scent to it, and it's got a really nice texture. But for me, I just didn't find this nearly as effective as some other vitamin C products I've used. It does feel really nice on the skin and has a really nice gel texture, but I just didn't find it really did much for me compared to other skincare vitamin C serums I've used. There's nothing wrong with it, but honestly there's better products out there, and their vitamin C products are a little expensive."

"Overall it's a decent water-based vitamin C serum that feels okay on the skin and doesn't irritate it or anything. Ethyl ascorbic acid has perhaps some of the brightening antioxidant benefits, but it's just not as researched as ascorbic acid is. It's a nice serum, I'm not a big fan they added all the citrus extracts in here, but at least it's not citrus oils. Once it soaks in it feels a little bit tacky, but you're probably gonna apply something over it so the tackiness isn't going to be a huge issue. Thirty bucks seems a little crazy, but some people really seem to enjoy this one. I'm not totally sold on it. Using it over the last month I haven't really noticed much additional brightening or anything, but at least they threw beta glucan in there, although the niacinamide that's really high up the ingredient list is probably going to turn some people off because niacinamide is now showing up in everything. It's not the most exciting vitamin C serum, especially if the retail price really is forty dollars. I personally wouldn't spend forty bucks on it."

"It's similar to the Misha, where it's not oily, it's not greasy, but it just has that little hug that really helps to seal the serum in, while it still feels really comfortable and breathable on the skin. It's really easy to layer with other products, an effortless product to use in your routine, you don't have to think about it too much. It will brighten your skin, it will work on hyperpigmentation, but it will still be gentle, and it'll bring the life back into your skin."

"I think the new Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Serum is a solid offering from Klairs. I've been really impressed with it. I think it's great for brightening. I think they've really smartly formulated this to really up the antioxidant profile, and I think that they have created a serum that is going to address more of the sensitive skin folks who have been turned away from the original Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Serum. They have overall really improved upon some of the pain points that some of us may have had with the original Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Serum, so I'm going to give this new product a nine out of ten. I just took a few marks off because of the citrus peel extract, but otherwise they have really addressed every single point. They have really created an upgraded, elevated version for sensitive skin."

"I have a huge issue with the price of this Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Serum, and this has been my biggest criticism of it since day one. Full retail [...] is forty dollars, and I think that is completely off the mark. I don't know where they're getting that price from, especially when we're looking at these formulas having a lot of similarities between them. I just think forty dollars is too much. It's the same amount of product, they're both 30 milliliter serums, they're both using the same ingredients, and I just think that's too much for this type of product, especially when there's something so similar you can get for half the price. [...] It's just more affordable and it's an easier texture to use."
