Cicaplast Gel B5.

"I have a question about the Cicaplast Gel. Can I use it as a moisturizer in the evening after applying differin? The Cicaplast Gel is a skin protectant, and to use it all over the face is an option as a moisturizer, but it can be kind of cost prohibitive because it's a pretty small tube for the price. It's a glycerin based skin protectant. Glycerin is both a humectant, but at higher percentages it's also occlusive, so that's great for barrier recovery and repair. In contrast to petroleum jelly, it doesn't feel greasy on the skin, it's a lot more lightweight, and it provides immediate and long lasting hydration. It's deeply hydrating, so that's an advantage of it as a skin protectant. But like any skin protectant layered on over things, it really enhances penetration, so you might develop more irritation doing it that way, and there aren't a lot of studies looking at the impact of that in large groups of people, so take that with a grain of salt. But provided you tolerate it, it is an effective way to moisturize the skin. I personally only ever use it around my eyes, not really as part of my routine for the rest of my face, just around my eyes because eyelid skin will get dust and airborne allergens on it easily and they get trapped."

"Glycerin is a humectant, meaning it helps improve water content in the skin, and at high percentage strengths like the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Gel B5, it also has an occlusive property to really lock in moisture. I do still use it around my eyes. I've tried this under the eyes and it does work there, though it's not as good as some other products for the under eye brightening effect. This is considered a low-budget way to moisturize and I really think it works pretty well. I tried using this underneath Vaseline to see if that made a difference. My skin wasn't drastically different appearance-wise on my body, but it was a great way to moisturize. The one thing though is I don't think this is as good for me personally for a variety of skin issues like those with keratolytics, because there's no keratolytic here and whereas those get in there and really actively hydrate plus dissolve that dry stuff. But this is a fun option and it's pretty affordable."

"Let me tell you what has been an absolute game changer, not just for keeping eyelid skin hydrated but also helping to diminish the appearance of little fine dehydration lines, and that is a glycerin skin protectant. Started doing this in 2024 and I have not looked back. Great for protecting from eyelid irritants, hydrating. You may not even have eyelid eczema and I suggest doing this. "This gel has been blowing my mind. I've been using this La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Gel B5 around my eyes for a couple of weeks now and I have really seen a visible improvement in the overall look of fine lines around my eyes, and I feel like my under eyes are a little bit tighter and brighter and smoother, more radiant. It's a glycerin based skin protectant, which is really hydrating, but I just put a little tiny bit there and rub it in. What I like about it is it's nice and lightweight, but it also creates this lightweight film on the skin surface that really helps protect eyelids from any kind of irritant getting on there and further drying out your eyes. I've been so impressed with this, not sponsored, this is fragrance free. It's really good as a skin protectant, like for dry irritated hands or chapped lips, chapped skin. It's not as good as their Cicaplast balm, but as an eye cream it's amazing. I have used it on my lips a few times, it is nice and hydrating, but I'm telling you, as an eye cream, and I don't use eye creams, I just use my regular moisturizer around my face, but this as an eye cream I've been impressed. It has made a huge difference in the appearance of the skin around my eyes. Well, by huge I mean I see a difference, there's a noticeable improvement."

"They came out with a Cicaplast Gel, which is a glycerin skin protectant, glycerin 21% to be exact, and glycerin is super hydrating but also creates this kind of protective film on the skin surface to limit penetration of irritants and to reduce water loss from the skin. It also has compounds from centella, which are anti-inflammatory. I'm now on my second tube of it, almost finished, about to buy my third. This gel around the eyes, amazing. Just a tiny little drop under the eyes, upper eyelid, don't get it within a millimeter of your lash line to avoid getting it directly into the eyes, but it really helps plump the skin there and limit penetration of irritant. It's easy for irritant to settle on the eyelid skin, the nature of it, and it's thin, so it's a lot more vulnerable to irritation. This has been excellent for not just reducing eyelid dryness but for really plumping and smoothing out lines, and honestly it does lead to a brighter, smoother under eye appearance. I notice a difference when I don't use it. I finished the first two and there was maybe a month or so I wasn't using it, and that benefit started to dwindle. My eyelids were a lot more vulnerable to dryness and irritation, especially with all the pollen and stuff we have here, 24/7 all year round."

"L'Roche-Posay has a Cicaplast Gel B5. It's not meant as an eye cream, it's not marketed as an eye cream, but it works really well around the eyes. I found I've been using it, it's totally brightened up my under eye area, smoothed out fine lines, and it's protecting the delicate eyelid skin from irritants because it is a skin protectant. We're talking the gel one, the balm you can put around your eyes too but it's a lot thicker, and I've never experienced the degree of fine line smoothing with the balm as I am with the gel."

"This is La Roche-Posay's Cicaplast Gel B5. It's meant for post-procedural care, like healing and recovery. It is a glycerin skin protectant, but it works really well to use the tiniest amount around the eyes. It has 20% glycerin in it, which is super hydrating, and contrary to glycerin's reputation, this product is not really sticky or tacky. It works so well around the eyes in my opinion because the glycerin is super hydrating along with the dimethicone in the product, which helps ultimately to improve water content in the skin, giving you that plumping effect of optimized water content, better epidermal turnover, better barrier integrity, and light scattering. You brighten up the under eye area and you also help to reduce irritation around the eyes, and that in and of itself really ends up paying off dividends. It also has madecassoside, a compound that comes from centella, which shows promise for having some healing properties and reducing inflammation in the skin. For the eye area I much prefer this. I get amazing results around my eyes with this product, much less expensive, and without the issue of it running into my eyes causing the stinging sensation or feeling tacky. It's around $22.99 for a decent size tube of it, so that's a lot less expensive. You don't need very much around the eyes. You want to avoid getting it within a millimeter of the lash line to prevent it from getting in your eyes, but it doesn't run into the eyes because it is a thicker consistency."

"In the Cicaplast line they came out with a Cicaplast Gel B5, 21% glycerin, so far so good. I'm going to put a little around my eyes because I like to put some kind of skin protectant around my eyes.
